Fortaleza Capital is pleased to announce it acted as exclusive corporate finance adviser to Van De Velde Packaging Group on the acquisition of Remmert Dekker Packaging

Transaction background: Van De Velde Packaging Group has reached an agreement for the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Remmert Dekker Packaging, based in Wormer (the Netherlands). For Van De Velde Packaging the acquisition fits seamlessly into its ambition to grow into an important player in folding carton and the associated manufacture of packaging machines. The acquisition of Remmert Dekker Packaging strengthens the position of Van De Velde Packaging – Folding Board, particularly in the market for innovative folding carton packaging for the food industry.

Philip Vanbelleghem, CEO of Van De Velde Packaging Group, about the acquisition: “Van De Velde Packaging Group is proud to include Remmert Dekker Packaging in its portfolio, whereby the extensive expertise and 125 years of experience of Remmert Dekker Packaging will contribute to building a solid future together. The international customer portfolio, scale and ambitions of Van De Velde Packaging Group offer Remmert Dekker Packaging long-term continuity, new growth opportunities and access to the experience and expertise of our broad, international packaging group.”

Remmert Dekker Packaging will continue to serve its customers in its familiar way from Wormer (the Netherlands) and focus on innovative packaging, especially within the food sector. This sector is on the rise thanks to the switch from plastic packaging to cardboard packaging. Sustainability is therefore a main motive in the actions of Remmert Dekker Packaging.
